In learning English the students need good teachers to teach them. The success of students in learning English depends on the way teachers teach their students. If the teachers giving appropriate learning, students will acquire good study results. In reverse, if the teacher not giving appropriate learning, the possibility of students will not acquire good study results. English teachers should be able to master the basic skills and techniques in teaching. Besides teachers also must be active outside of teaching which is looking for information on issues about learning English, or information related to the English. Teachers can find information from books, newspapers, or articles on the internet, besides the teacher can also share with other teachers who teach English as well either within the school or outside the school environment. Thus, teachers can get a lot of information related to learning English.

 Another way to consider a teacher to become a good English teacher is to have a good attitude. This is important because the attitude of teachers will affect the success of students. Besides teachers are role models for their students. In English teaching, teachers will find the characteristics of different students. There are student is easy to understand lessons given by teachers, and some of students are difficult in learning English. Teachers have to think positively when facing student lack of ability in Learning English. Teachers have to think positively that the pupils can follow the lessons well. In addition, teacher should have patience in teaching pupils. In teaching, teachers should not easily angry when students make mistakes. If students mispronounce the words in English, teacher should correct students' words with no emotion. Beside in the example above, the teacher must also have a tolerance trait with pupils. Teachers do not easily give poor value to students who are lack of ability in learning English. Teachers should be able to provide motivation to pupils in learning English, so students can learn English well.

In teaching, English teachers must determine the appropriate learning method to the learning objectives to be achieved. For example, teachers teach their students to speak English, so teachers can use the CLT method. The method is to make students more active in speaking English. Teachers can combine approaches as well as other learning methods so that students will not feel bored. In addition teachers can also provide different teaching styles. For example, students are invited to play the role of the phrases used to persuade someone.
